Junior Front-End Developer @Visma Tech
Why did you choose to study at CodeAcademy
At the time, I was interested in Front-End development and was researching schools that offered courses in this field. Since CodeAcademy was well-known as one of the largest coding schools in Lithuania, it felt like the right choice.
What were your initial goals when you decided to study at CodeAcademy?
My main goal was to build a strong foundation in Front-End development with the guidance of an experienced instructor. The program stood out because it didn’t just cover HTML, CSS, and JavaScript—it also included a Front-End framework, which made it even more valuable.
How did you stay motivated during tough moments—both while learning and searching for a job?
I’ve always been drawn to math, physics, and analytical subjects, so programming felt like a natural and exciting path for me.Whenever doubts or insecurities crept in, I reminded myself why I started—I wanted to work in IT and build a career in this field. That motivation kept me going. I also understood from the start that the journey wouldn’t be easy—setbacks were part of the process, and I had to keep pushing forward.
What did you do to land your first job?
The first thing I did was stay patient. I actively sent out my CV and cover letter, not only applying to official job postings but also reaching out to hiring managers via email and LinkedIn, even if their company wasn’t actively hiring. This proactive approach helped me get noticed, and eventually, it led to my first job opportunity.
